Detecting Lust by Mikey Lee.

I thought this was a great debut book, it was a quick, easy read. It has a good storyline; Detective Seth Lane is investigating a sexual assault case, normally I stay away from books that involve rape but Mikey Lee handles it with sensitivity and it didn't feel like it was being used for entertainment or controversy (he got an extra star for that alone). I liked the relationship between Seth and his wife, Zee. It was different to a lot of books, in that they are a happily married couple, they help and support each other (and have some incredible sex too) but it's really background noise to the focus of the story, which is the investigation and I loved that.

Occasionally the sudden POV change threw me but not for long and it didn't really take away from the story. I'm hoping future books will see other character stories expanded on..especially Ashley, you just know she has to have an awesome backstory.

I am looking forward to reading more from Mikey Lee, so I hope he is sat at a computer right now and typing away at book 2.
