REVIEW
Ella and Bishop are torn apart by tragic events when they are too young to know how to deal with their grief. Years later, Ella is the obsession of a stalker and Titan group are called in. Bishop has landed his dream job; working for Titan. His first orders....to keep Ella safe. Bishop is determined to succeed but Ella isn't making it easy on him, will their shared history be too much for them to get over? Will they find the stalker before it's too late?
I have to start by saying that it isn't imperative, however, if you like continuity I'd recommend reading Live Wire first, something that happens in Live Wire was mentioned a couple of times in Bishop's Queen but is explained so it's really just personal choice, although LW is the introduction to Bishop and he is swoon-worthy so why wouldn't you want to read it? Now on to the good stuff.
I absolutely loved this book, I think it is my favourite Cristin Harber book to date, Bishop is a great addition to Titan, he is your typical hot, alpha titan guy but he feels very different, more sensitive maybe. He reminds me a little of Roman. I love Cristin's writing, she has a wonderful talent for blending action and romance, this book is no different, although not as action-packed as some of the other Titan books. It still has enough for all you adrenaline junkies and a sweet romance for all you romantics. I felt this book was very much character driven and I love stories like that. I had several moments of literally laughing out loud, moments of shouting at the characters and lots of swooning moments.
I loved the #TitanStrong message that is throughout the book.
This book grips you from the very first chapter, even though I had guessed what was going to happen, when it did, it was heartbreaking and I was simultaneously cursing and praising Cristin for having me in tears from the get go. From that opening chapter the book just keeps getting better, I had great difficulty putting it down. Each chapter leads seamlessly into the next and leaves you wanting more. A definite case of 'Just one more chapter' leading to reading half the book in one sitting and then only stopping because families need attention. (I'm not saying I threatened my husband for interrupting my reading at a very pivotal moment, however......)
We are introduced to two more new Titan recruits - Locke and Jax. I adored Locke and look forward to reading more about him in future books. Jax I didn't have a good feeling about but maybe that was the plan, we're not supposed to like him so that when we find out more about him it makes sense? Only time will tell. I want to thank Cristin for such a great series and an incredible addition to the Titan Group. I am definitely on #TeamBishop.
ABOUT BISHOP'S QUEEN
“I can't shake the feeling that somebody's watching me.”
One second Ella Leighton’s life was normal—the next, not so much. A social media maven who made her living saving sea turtles, the decision to join a reality TV show was a good one for the cause. But for her… the adjustment wasn’t easy.
Her publicist used phrases like online personality. An overnight celebrity. Everyone explained that was why she couldn’t shake the feeling. But none of their excuses could explain the letters. The pictures. And then her stalker crossed the line, triggering the demand for security.
Bishop O'Kane didn't expect to come face-to-face with his ex-girlfriend when Titan sent him on bodyguard duty. The woman he once loved, the same one he walked away from years ago, was now his responsibility. Opposites in every way, they couldn’t be more different, but maybe they had never needed each other more.
With the FBI falling short in their investigation, the Titan team must rally around the woman with millions of followers, protecting her from her own as Bishop and Ella forge a path of second chances and forgiveness, unburying the past in order to survive.
